Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Enasarco 2024 contributions
What is Enasarco?
Enasarco is the complementary pension foundation for commercial agents and representatives in Italy. Contributions are mandatory and paid by both the agent and the principal company.
What is the difference between single and multiple mandate agents?
A single-mandate agent works for one principal, while a multi-mandate agent works for several companies simultaneously. The rate is the same (8.50% + 8.50%); only the annual commission cap differs: €45,717 for single-mandate agents and €30,478 per principal for multi-mandate agents.
When are Enasarco contributions paid?
Enasarco contributions are paid quarterly: by May 20 (1st quarter), August 20 (2nd quarter), November 20 (3rd quarter) and February 20 of the following year (4th quarter).
What happens if the minimum contribution is not reached?
If the contributions paid by the agent are below the annual minimum (€1,026 for single-mandate, €515 for multi-mandate in 2026), the principal is required to pay the difference to reach the minimum.
How are Enasarco contributions split?
The contribution is split in half between agent and principal: the principal pays both halves and withholds the agent share on the invoice. The calculator shows the two shares separately.
What changes between a single and a multiple mandate?
What changes are the commission ceilings the contribution is worked out on: an agent working for one principal has a higher cap than one working for several. The type of mandate is picked before the calculation.
What are the minimum contributions?
They are the smallest amount due for each agency relationship, owed even when commissions are low. When the calculation falls under that floor the tool flags that the minimum applies instead.
