Preguntas Frecuentes

Everything you need to know about the NATO phonetic alphabet

What is the NATO phonetic alphabet?

The NATO phonetic alphabet (officially the International Radiotelephony Spelling Alphabet) assigns a code word to each letter (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie...) to communicate clearly over radio or phone, avoiding confusion between similar-sounding letters such as "B" and "P". It is used in aviation, the military, law enforcement and emergency services.

How are numbers and spaces handled?

Digits from 0 to 9 are converted to their English words (Zero, One, Two...). Spaces between words are marked with a " / " separator to keep decoding readable. The reverse conversion (NATO → Text) rebuilds the original text by recognising each code word.

Is the data I enter safe?

Yes. The conversion happens entirely in your browser via JavaScript, without sending anything to external servers. No text is stored or transmitted, ensuring maximum privacy.
