Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about INPS contributions

What is the INPS Separate Management?

The Separate Management is the INPS fund for self-employed workers who do not have a category pension fund (e.g. professionals not registered in professional registers). The rate for 2025-2026 is 26.07% for professionals without other coverage. There is no minimum contribution: you only pay on actual income.

How does the 35% reduction for flat-rate taxpayers work?

Taxpayers in the flat-rate regime enrolled in Artisan or Merchant Management can request a 35% reduction in contributions owed. The request must be made through the INPS portal. This reduction does not apply to Separate Management. Note: the reduction also results in a lower contribution credit for pension purposes.

What is the difference between Artisans and Merchants?

Artisan Management and Merchant Management are similar in structure: both have a mandatory minimum contribution and a proportional rate. The rates are slightly different (24.00% artisans vs 24.48% merchants). Enrollment depends on the nature of the activity: production/manufacturing for artisans, trade/services for merchants.

Are these calculations accurate?

The calculations are based on current rates and provide an indicative estimate. Exact values may vary based on: annually updated contribution minimums, any specific relief measures, maternity contributions, and other personal variables. For the definitive calculation, consult your accountant or the INPS portal.

What is the INPS separate management fund?

It is the fund for self employed people with no professional pension scheme of their own. The rate is 26.07 per cent for professionals with no other cover, and unlike the artisan and trader funds it has no minimum charge.

How does the 35 per cent reduction work?

People in the flat rate regime enrolled with the artisan or trader fund can ask for a 35 per cent cut on the contributions due, through the INPS portal. It does not apply to the separate management fund, and it also reduces the pension credit earned.

What is the difference between artisans and traders?

The two funds are built the same way, with a compulsory minimum charge and a proportional rate on top. The rates differ slightly, 24.00 per cent for artisans against 24.48 for traders, and which one applies depends on the nature of the business.

Does my data stay private?

Yes, and not because we promise it: this tool runs entirely inside your browser. What you type or upload never leaves your device, so it never reaches a server of ours and there is nothing we could keep, read or lose. You can check it yourself: open the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool keeps working.

Do you store what I enter?

No. There is no database behind this tool: we do not store your files, your text or your results. When you close the tab nothing is left — not here with us, because it never arrived, and not anywhere else.

Do you profile me? Are you GDPR compliant?

We do not profile you: there is no account to create, we never ask for your email to use a tool, and we keep no profile of what you do. We are an Italian company and we work under the GDPR and the other European rules, with the privacy notice and the consent request in plain sight. One thing we say in full rather than hiding it behind a slogan: the ads on the page are Google's, and Google may use cookies to personalise them. You decide from the consent banner: if you say no the ads stay, but they are not personalised, and the tool works exactly the same.

If it is free, how do you make money?

From the ads on the page, and that is all. We do not sell your data, there is no hidden paid plan, there is no limit that eventually asks for your card, and you do not have to sign up. The ads pay for the servers and for the time we spend writing the tools: that is how we can keep them open to everyone.
