FAQ
FAQ
Aerobic capacity
What is VO2 max?
Maximum amount of oxygen (ml/kg/min) the body can use during intense exercise. Main indicator of aerobic capacity and cardiovascular fitness.
Cooper or Rockport?
Cooper: 12-min run, suited for trained individuals. Rockport: 1-mile walk, valid for everyone, including less-trained or older adults.
Cooper or Rockport, which is better?
The Cooper asks you to run flat out for twelve minutes and suits people who already train. The Rockport is built on a one mile walk and suits anybody, including people starting from scratch.
Is the estimate as good as a laboratory test?
No. Field tests give an indicative figure, useful for following your own progress over time. The real measurement comes only from a stress test with analysis of the respiratory gases.
