How does background removal work?
Our tool automatically analyzes the image by sampling the four corners to identify the background color. It uses an intelligent detection algorithm that makes all pixels similar to the background color transparent, creating a PNG image with a transparent background.
Are my images uploaded to your servers?
No, absolutely not! All processing happens directly in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to external servers, ensuring maximum privacy and security for your files. This makes the tool perfect even for confidential or sensitive images.
How many images can I process at once?
You can upload and process up to 50 images at once. Batch processing allows you to save time by processing multiple files in a single session. Each image is processed individually with its own customizable tolerance.
How does the tolerance control work?
The tolerance control allows you to adjust how similar a pixel must be to the background color to be removed. Low values (precise) remove only very similar pixels, while high values (tolerant) also remove pixels with slight color variations. Each image has its own adjustable tolerance from 10 to 100.
What image formats are supported?
The tool supports all major image formats: PNG, JPG, and JPEG. The result is always saved as PNG to preserve background transparency. The downloaded file will have the original name with the '-no-bg.png' suffix added.
How is the background to remove recognised?
The tool samples the four corners of the image to work out which colour the background is, then makes the pixels resembling it transparent. It does best on even backgrounds.
What is the tolerance slider for?
Tolerance decides how closely a pixel has to match the background colour to be removed. It runs from 10 to 100 and is set image by image: low values take out only near identical pixels.
How many images can I load at once?
Up to 50 PNG, JPG or JPEG images at a time, each with its own tolerance. The result downloads as a PNG with a transparent background, one at a time or all together.
Does my data stay private?
Yes, and not because we promise it: this tool runs entirely inside your browser. What you type or upload never leaves your device, so it never reaches a server of ours and there is nothing we could keep, read or lose. You can check it yourself: open the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool keeps working.
Do you store what I enter?
No. There is no database behind this tool: we do not store your files, your text or your results. When you close the tab nothing is left — not here with us, because it never arrived, and not anywhere else.
Do you profile me? Are you GDPR compliant?
We do not profile you: there is no account to create, we never ask for your email to use a tool, and we keep no profile of what you do. We are an Italian company and we work under the GDPR and the other European rules, with the privacy notice and the consent request in plain sight. One thing we say in full rather than hiding it behind a slogan: the ads on the page are Google's, and Google may use cookies to personalise them. You decide from the consent banner: if you say no the ads stay, but they are not personalised, and the tool works exactly the same.
If it is free, how do you make money?
From the ads on the page, and that is all. We do not sell your data, there is no hidden paid plan, there is no limit that eventually asks for your card, and you do not have to sign up. The ads pay for the servers and for the time we spend writing the tools: that is how we can keep them open to everyone.
