Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about email signatures
How do I add the signature to Gmail or Outlook?
Copy the generated HTML code, then in Gmail go to Settings > General > Signature and paste; in Outlook go to Settings > Mail > Compose and reply > Email signature. In some clients it is better to paste the rendered preview directly instead of the raw HTML code.
Why does the signature use tables and inline CSS?
Email clients have very limited CSS support and ignore external stylesheets and many modern properties. HTML tables with inline styles are the most reliable standard to ensure the signature looks identical across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and mobile clients.
Where should I host the logo?
The logo must be hosted on a public, permanent URL (for example your website or a cloud service) because email clients cannot display local images. Enter the direct address of the image file here (ending in .png, .jpg, etc.). Your data never leaves your browser: everything is processed locally.
Which fields make up the signature?
Name and surname, role, company, phone, email address, website, the address of a logo and an accent colour, which tints the role, the website link and the side rule.
How do I put the signature into Gmail or Outlook?
The generator produces the HTML of the signature: you copy it with the button and paste it into the signature settings of your mail client. The code is built on tables, so it holds up in Outlook too.
Can I put a company logo in the signature?
Yes, you give the web address of an image that is already online. The logo appears to the left of the text, 72 pixels wide, separated by a vertical rule in the accent colour you chose.
