How does splitting with different shares work?
By enabling "different shares" mode you can assign a weight to each person. For example, with weights 2, 1, 1 the first person will pay double the other two. The total (tip included) is split in proportion to the sum of the weights, so the expense is always covered 100%.
Is the tip calculated before or after the split?
The tip is calculated as a percentage of the total bill and added before the split. This way each person contributes to the tip in proportion to their share, both in even mode and with different shares.
Are my data saved or sent online?
No, all calculations happen directly in your browser and no amount is sent to external servers or stored. The tool is completely free, with no registration and no invasive ads. The displayed currency automatically adapts to the selected language.
¿Cómo se añade la propina a la cuenta?
La propina se indica como porcentaje del importe, con 0, 5, 10, 15 y 20 listos para elegir. Se suma al total, y el reparto entre las personas parte del total con la propina ya incluida.
¿Puede una persona pagar más que las demás?
Sí. Al activar las partes desiguales, cada participante recibe un peso, donde 2 significa el doble que alguien con peso 1, y el total se reparte en proporción a los pesos.
¿En qué moneda se muestran los importes?
Los importes siguen el idioma elegido para el sitio: en español la cuenta dividida se muestra con el separador decimal y el símbolo de moneda del formato español.
